Default 13'S

I drove my 2003 Gt at the track for the first time. I ran a 14.2 at 97.57 cutting a 2.0 60 ft time on factory tires. I want this car to turn 13's and I just want to know the easiest way to get there.

Is anyone hitting 100 mph stock and in the 13's? If so how?

If you wanna run good I saw a guy at the track that was running a 100 shot and made a 12.1 in a stang that looked just like mine. He said thats all he has done to his car was the NOS. Dry shot of NOS will help you out a lot!

thats kinda of dangerous....that would be ok for a SVT Cobra because its internals are very strong, but for a stock GT I wouldn't be able to handle that abuse for very long.

I think he lied to you....360fwhp doesn't = a 12.1 pass in a heavy GT. Hell the new Cobra has 400fwhp and won't be in sight of a 12.1 pass, granted it is heavier.

03 GT, you have an auto or manual? I'm guessing auto with your 2.0 60' pass, that's pretty impressive on factory tires, especially if you have a 5 speed.

lose as much weight out of the car as you can when you go to the strip, remove spare tire, jack, etc. and don't go there with a full tank of gas either. easy thing is a powertuner to reprogram the stock ECU, a free flowing intake system with a CAI and low restriction filter like a K&N, and gears in the rear to launch harder. also practice launching the car at different rpms to see which gives you the hardest launch without tire spin or engine boggin down.

dude if you are running 14.2's just get some tires and add a cold air kit. that 13's there. Are you could just add some gears. But i always have loved the whole exhaust from headers back. All you need to do is anyone of those things and you will get 13's

First take off restrictions, like put a better intake, high flow exhaust, and like roundman said loose unecessary weight(spare, gas, passenger seat, any junk in the trunk, etc.) Then find out what RPM's your car creates the most power at, and try to launch at those rpms unless you spin of course.
Get some drag radials, practice "power-shifting" and a big help would also be getting some better gears for the strip. Hope this helps you out man but these should easily get you the times you want.
