Hey guys, my cousin has a 2001 Mustang (V6, 3.8L), and I wanted to get him some engine upgrades for his highschool graduation present............but, i don't know too much about what is avalible. Do you guys have any suggestions on what type of upgrades i should buy? (assume i don't have a buget)

Buy him gears. 3.73 or 4.10's.

 

Anything else? What is the mod that will give the biggest boast in HP?

 

maybe if you gave us a budget, we could be a better help. A supercharger will make the car much quicker but unless you got several Gs to throw down, not worth mentioning. You might want to look into a turbonator ( i am not serious btw)

Also, do you know how much HP this car would have to begin with?

 

190 at the crank (found on another board so dont slay me if it is wrong). If you put in gears like suggested, it wont add hp, but will make teh car noticably quicker, maybe 600 installed. cat-back to make it sound better, free up a few ponies. I would do gears, 410s.
