Default looking for a tire/rim expert

Hi, Brand new member here. A 69 Mach1 has recently come into my possesion. The tires were balding so I had it checked out by a competent mechanic. It needs a total new front end which I bought from Mustang Unlimited. Now the tire question.. the fronts are 215/70/14 on 6" aluminum slot rims. The rears are 235/60/14 on 7" slot rims. I bought 4 new tires that are 215/70/14. Will they fit on the 7" rims? I didn't know they were different width rims until I took them off. Is there an issue here??
Thanks Mike

Default RE: looking for a tire/rim expert

Welcome to where we have a bunch of experts that never really answer your question but love to let you know they know so much more....

Sarcasm aside, most tire vendors have fitment info on their websites. Those tires you have will probably fit 5" to 7" rims. The ones I had on my Jeep were made for rims anywhere between 7" and 9".

Congrats on the car. I bet it looks sweet. Post pics when you get a chance.
