cooling fans
what is the differnce between a electric fan and a fan clutch, i no one of them mounts onto the radiator and the other would hook onto the water pump which is the one i am looking for, but im just confused on what i would need

RE: cooling fans
A fan clutch has a thermal spring built in to the front of it. When the engine reaches a certain temp the spring deforms and engages the fan. An electric fan is just that, it usually mounts to the radiator and is controlled by a temp sensor usually built into a coolant passage somewhere.
