I hope this is the right place. If not, sorry. Anyone have tips on getting the front bumper back to pristine? I have tried several "bug removers" but nothing gets it as clean as I want it. Any suggestions?

 

Is it just bugs on it? Or is it rock chips and pits all over?

If its just bugs you just do some hard scrubbin on it... If its missing paint in some places you can use a tuch up paint for your color or have it repainted.....

For some bugs you can use a bug and tar remover and it usually gets it all off, just dont use too much or rub it in alot cause sometimes it can fade the paint......

 

If you havn't already check out some auto parts stores for goo remover type stuff.

 

once you get it clean, you can always put a bra on it like mello has! LOL

 

You should see the bugs on my car just from driving back from school today. I washed it two days ago now it's covered!

 

my front bumper needs some touchup [&:] ..... cheap paint (i didnt do it)

 

That sucks dude, looks like you got a little dent in your hood too. I know your pain.

 

that was my fault, my stock shifter broke a bolt while i was on the freeway in what suddenly turned into stop and go traffic, i couldnt down shift and my brakes arent that all great so i bumped in to a jetta...luckily my car has a low front end and only the hood crumpled a bit....lucky that was the extent of external damage... a fiberglass low cowl is on the list... and more paint chips off everytime i wash it too...

helps a bit
