Default What to do

i am a complete noob to mustangs. in fact this is my first car. but i am looking to do small upgrades that wont break the bank and that wont be a complete pain to do. ive heard a lot of talk about aftermarket cool air intakes, k&n drop in filters, gears, and chips. i have a 04 mach 1 and wonder if you guys had any opinions. this is a daily driver, and i am just wanting to make it a bit faster and or just get the most from my motor. any thoughts?

Rather than moding your pocketbook to death, supercharge it an call it a day... IMO... Welcome to the forums...

Damn...a Mach 1 as your first car...

I agree with CAI, exhaust, and gears. The shifter isn't a bad idea either though.

Default RE: What to do

what kind of CAI should i get. ive seen a lot of different brands. if i mess with the exhaust, would that mess up my computer? and also i do have a warinty to think about too. i really dont want to f my tranny up and have to have it fixed myself. the short throw i'm gonna get (steeda tri-max) probably. ive thought about the different gears, but what would that do to gas mileage. like i said this is a daily driver. it would be nice to supercharge it, but i dont see me coming with 3-5k anytime soon.

and one more thing, i dont want to be thought as some rich kid whos daddy bought my first car. this is all my doing, dont live with the parents or anyting like that.
