Default Holly, demon, or edelbrock?

i have a 85gt stang it use to be Fuel Injected and automatic but i busted my engine and i got a engine from a 82gt(now i have carburator and manual) i was lookin to upgrade to a 4 barrel carb (holly) but i get different opinions from non-owning mustang ppl. Can anyone here help me out with what brand and model i should go for? i wanna go fast.

I run a demon on my car, but frankly i wouldnt recommend it... very difficult to tune... at least with my engine an in my case.... Holly seems better choice cuz those few people that still know how to tune carbs will know a holly... IMO...

Holley and Demon are of the same basic design and are tuned pretty much the same way. They are not hard to tune, but do offer a ton of adustiblity, this leads people into thinking they are "hard" to tune. Buy a carb tuning book and get yourself on a dyno with a wide band O2 sensor and tuning will be pretty easy. As far as Edelbrock goes, they are not my reccomendation for a perfromance carb. Yes they can be made to perfrom well but you almost never see them on a fast car, mainly because they have a lack of tunibility. BTW, opinions on this subject vary and wheather a person owns a Stang or not is meaningless.
