I drove the '03 Cobra and didnt like that shifter at all because it is way tp high. Thats suppose to be the Steeda Tri-axe isnt it? I found one from Hurst I think I like and I might buy it. Just not sure, wanted to get some second opinions.

i have the Steeda Tri-Ax i love it took about 15 mins to install and set up. nice firm crisp shifts, BUT, you do get a little gear whine, but i think that sounds cool, and your radio has to be off to hear it really well, lol.

as far as i know the cobra has the regular rubber bushing style shifter in it, the gt has that same rubber crap in it thats why it feels so sloppy. i know the shifters arent the same but they MIGHT have the same BASIC design. and i agree the cobra shifters feel like crap too at least stock, lol

Well I guess it had an after market one in it and I didnt like it. Im almost sure it was the Tri-Ax (No offense). I have already invested in the Pro5.0. I hear its a pretty good shifter.

Steeda Tri Ax is supposed to be the best. Personally my favorite. I think Corral did a review on the Pro 5.0, Tri Ax and some 300+$ shifter. Tri ax won in I think all but maybe on category.

I've read good and bad things from different people on the 5.0 and the steeda so it's hard to tell. But even with all of that the steeda sounds better. You'll have to let us know how the 5.0 is.
