Default supercharging a high mileage engine

I have a 98 cobra motor with about 115,000 miles on it. I want to supercharge it now. I am very concerned because of it's high mileage. Has anybody ever done something similar to this or should I look into rebuilding the motor or getting a new one and starting over? Please help.

How much boost do you want? If it's in good shape, you should be able to get away with conservative boost numbers. I wouldn't throw 10 pounds on it without a rebuild.

Your drivetrain(including your engine)will find the(expected HP increase),supercharger a bit of an unwelcome guest IMO.It's like giving an old person a steady diet of a drug to make them really hyperactive.Something will break and your labour will be wasted.Rebuild your car engine and other driveline components, first.
You can do it of course(without rebuilding / upgrades) and minimal boost. If you don't race it around town it will last longer....Goodluck!
