I'm buying the 17x9/17x8 Cobra wheels set from AFS.

Specs:
17x8 (+12mm, 4.95" backspace)
17x9 (+24mm, 5.95" backspace)

Going on a stock suspension 89 Mustang GT. What size tires would you guys recommend?

 

I would do 245/45`s on the front
On the rear, 285/40`s or 275/40`s

 

^^^^ thats my set up, my rears r the 275's tho, and i love it so +1
