Default Automatic headlights

I am new to the forum, can someone give me some help. I have a 99 gt 4.6 auto, when I turn my car on, after about 5 seconds my headlights automatically turn on and they stay on, no matter what time of day. So if I want to creep during the night, I cannot shut them off unless I shut my car off. Is there a wire that I need to remove or something???

And the interior lights under the rearview mirror, is there a way to shut them off so they won't turn on when the doors are open???

Appreciate the help,

Markus

I have no idea, but there must be some sort of electrical hook up that makes them automatically turn on, and I hate it.

Its called "daytime running lights". It gives you a deduction on your ins costs & makes it so people see you better. I dont have that feature on my 04 & this is 1st time I have heard of it on any Mustang.

All cars in Canada have daytime running lights [:@]

Pulling the fuse will work, but then you gotta stick it back in at night lol
