Default oil additives

I was wondering if there are any oil additives that anyone would reccomend. My car burns oil, and it's all going through the valve seals. I know on some oil additives they have 'seal conditioners' but I was wondering if there was any additves that aren't just like a thicker liquid to put in... i was thinking about buying the valvoline max life additive to slow down the valve seal smoke. I am gonna swap engines in the future but for now I'd like to reduce some of the smoke

any input let me know thanks

I've heard good things about Lucas Oil additives....but I've not personally used them.
