Last night I decided to run to the local Walmart for some quick supplies. I backed my Stang out the garage and headed off. This is a 15 minute trip and most times is all the driving I do in the Stnag during the week. Back to the matter.

I am on the highway in the center lane of 3 doin 70mph just enjoying life. I see in my mirror like a mile or so back this blue car bawlin down the highway switching lanes as if he had like 100 cops on his tail. (he didnt) I'm thinking who is that back there? Cant see what car it is only that it is blue.

This guys is changing lanes rapidly, kinda cutting people off (not making them run off the road or anything but should have clearly left more room between them when changing lanes)

So he comes up on me right on my tail (like 2.5 feet back) and then jumps over and goes around me and then jumps in front of me. This is done at his greater speed. Remember I said I was doing 70mph.

So I'm pissed now, I was just chillin and somebody has to mess with me. Ok, You guys ready for what kind of car it was????????


DODGE NEON 4 DOOR???? You know the set up, tint, muffler, passenger. Ya know.

I slow down a little then drop down to 3rd and stomp it as he gets in front of me. I am not kidding here, I must have been on his bumber in like 5 seconds. I'm talking ON HIS A**! I'm barking at him now.

You guys know what barking is right? You may call it something different where you live but its when your in that sweet rpm range and you are tapping the gas and your car is jumping forward a little and drifting back as you keep tapping the gas. So as I do this for a few seconds he was flat wot because he could not go any further. I whip around this guy like he was parked and pulled away soooo fast I thought he must have broke down. I slowed back down to let the cruise take over again as ole blue comes driving by ALOT SLOWER NOW.


The fast lane was wide open so what was his point of going around me like that? Did he really think he was faster than me? Was he just flying and did not realize what I was until it was to late? OR was he a Mustang fan and wanted to see me get on it? Or wuz he just a d***?
Whats the point??

 

Maybe his accelerator pedal stuck, and he finally got it free. Or maybe he got carried away with the road head he was getting (it's been known to happen). Or maybe the cops were on his tail and he finally lost them. But, I'm not sure what exactly he was thinking.

 

What's the point of doing what you did. You got pissed because he was driving like an idiot so you retaliated by...driving like an idiot. But hey; you must've really showed that 4 door neon who's boss.

 

There was no point unfortunately, except to prove he's an a$$hole who
needs to be killed.

Sally--- Did not know it was a neon until he was up on me, by that point I did not care; thought maybe it was a sleeper>>> dunno. To anser your question, whats my point of doing what I did?. My point was to him dont come up on me like that when there is a lane open. He got the point because he changed lanes and went around me ALOT slower and with ALOT more space the next time. Many males would take what he did as a challenge, NOT ALL but many. By the way, if he were a Vet I would have did the exact same thing no matter what vet it was or the outcome. Thanks for your opinion but I would prefer you refrain from name calling when you state your opinions or just move onto another thread if you cant. Nothing personal, take care

By posting in an open forum you are subjecting to yourself to other peoples opinions, both positive and negative. This is somthing we all need to accept about this place.

 

I've seen the same guys. One I had fun with was driving a newer Eclipse. Just a base model, nothing interesting. I was in my rather modified 5.0. On a 4 lane road cops tend to patrol pretty weel, he bird-dogged the heck out of me. Back and forth, in and out of lanes. Annoying and I wasn't about to play on that road. He eventually went on by. A ways down the road was my favorite freeway on-ramp, where I was headed. What did I see stopped at the light but Mr.Eclipse. I came up behind him as the light turned green saying out loud, "turn right, oh please turn right!" He did. I barked his butt all they way up the on-ramp. As soon as the lanes spread out enough I flew right by his left door handle and shortly settled back down to around the speed limit. He stayed behind me at a well behaved distance for the next ten miles until I exited. A very satisfying evening.
What particularly amuses me is the two wheeled versions of these guys. You've likely seen some. Cruising down the highway laid out like they're going for a Salt Flats speed record or something. I generally ride an old Harley chopper and it makes my day to be able to come up alongside one of these baboons doing this. Sitting comfy and upright, riding with only one hand on the throttle, I look down at the speedo and back over at the guy with my head cocked over like "Exactly WTF is it you are doing over there?" Very very rare when everything lines up just right so this can happen but once in a great while it does and just tickles the heck out of me. I always expect them to just nail it and speed off, but they never do. They just sit back upright with an embarrassed look on their face.
