Default Cold Air Intake

Would putting a cold air intake on a 2.3L be worth it?

I don't think putting a CAI on any engine makes that much of a difference to be worth it. I DO recomment sticking a high performance/flow air filter into your existing intake, something like a K&N which is washable and flows better than stock.

What other mods to you have/plan on getting? There's never anything wrong with adding some extra HP but not much of a point if you don't add anything else. +1 on the air filter.

What you need is a supercharger . There are a lot of things that can be upgraded. For example, a lot of people would recommend the gears.

Cobra sounds pretty cool. Sorry about the thread, I didn't really take the time to read through it.

DO NOT put on any kind of cai whether its ebay or homemade.

the stock intake setup is the best thing you can have for the 2.3

it already has an intake passage going from front of the car behind the bumper to the air box to catch oncoming air.

removing the silencer will not do anything

and any cai made for the 2.3 to date is illegal because it does not come with a CARB label to pass emissions/inspection.
