what is the best and cheapest way to remove the stock rear wing on 06 GT? Is there a lot of repair/cosmetics to do once the wing is removed?

There isn't much holding them on. it's taped on with double sided tape and there are two screws in each side which you can access from inside the trunk.....if you look, you can actually see them. They are not covered or anything.

You would need to get the holes filled or plug them...or I guess you could get a decklid from a car that doesn't have a spoiler and paint that to match.

That's actually what the dealer said they would do, since posting. They will replace the cowl (including wing) with one from a similarly colored mustang that has no wing.
