Default Airbag problems

I purchased a 1990 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L t-5 with a powerdyne 6psi supercharger about 4 months ago. My airbag has been flashing since I purchased the car. Previous owner installed a single pod boost gauge in drivers a pillar, and has piggybacked a speaker cable to the drivers dashboard speaker. Aside from a lowering kit nothing else was done to vehicle that might cause the airbag fault. Prove out code is 5, which when looked up is a short to ground. No visible wiring damage around drivers dash speaker, a pillar base.
Wondering if anyone has seen a Code 5 on an Airbag system before and what might be the problem. To me having a little training, I would almost say a wiring harness for the Airbag system, but dont want to go there if not needed. Let alone the fact I dont know where to find a harness aside from junkyard diving...Any Help??
