Default runing lean

well my check engine light came on a while ago after installing my bbk tb/p

i cleared the codes, cleaned the MAF with electrical cleaner, cleaned the airfilter, tuned the engine
to run at a 0 instead of a 9 (diablo tuner ----much richer tune) and cleared the codes with the diablo

well the light came back on today, same one p0171 and p0174.......lean across the board

what should i do next?

Did you check your plugs to see if they look like you are running lean? Could also be just fine but your O2 sensors are detecting something they don't like. Do you have stock midpipes or are you running high flow / no cats? If that's the case, a simple set of MIL Eliminators would solve the problem.

Like I said above... did you pull your plugs to see if you are really running lean or if it's a false alarm? If you're not really running lean and you tune it richer, you're not really helping anything. If you don't have accuratelyu measure how ruch / lean you're running the easiest thiung to do is look at your spark plugs.

If your plugs are fine, then you know to move on to the next thing. If you pull them and the ylook like they've been running lean, then you know what to adjust from there.

ill pull the plugs today, but im pretty sure its lean, it hesitates under WOT, wich is a
key thing to tell if your lean or not

I just noticed that you said that you cleaned the MAF with electric cleaner. Did you spray anything directly on it or did you spray a q-tip and lightly wipe? Just wanted to make sure because that could cause problems too if the wire got damaged.

i sprayed directly on it.....like the directions said

let it sit for about 6 hours to make sure it was 100% dry

made NO difference in anything

I could be wrong, but I was always told and taught never to spray anything directly on the wire. I was always told to spray onto a q-tip and then very gently wipe the wire. Of course, it may be different with this product so I can't say for certain. Perhaps someone else can chime in and tell me if they have heard of this.

I would think that the pressure and extreme temp changes alone from spraying directly on the wires would cause some damage.
