ok, so i was driving down the highway and BAM!! there goes my hood!!
but not the whole hood, only the fiberglass part.... WTF?!
is there some explaination for this? because i'm stumped!![sm=insomnia.gif]

sue ford... not only to replace the the hood but say that, that incident put you in a possible life threatening situation.

Wow, I havent ever seen that before. I did have my whole hood fly off while i was going 70 down the highway, scared the crap outta me and the car behind me. It went over both our cars. It was like something you see in a movie, look in the rear view and seeing your hood taking flight. It was a fiberglass hood, I recovered it in 3 pieces

i completely freaked out!!
but more for my friend because she was in the passenger and my son was sleeping in the back.
it was soooo incredible! i didn't know that sometihng like that could happen.
so now i'm on the hunt for a new hood because w/o it i can't paint my baby....[sm=boohoo.gif]
maybe i'll try to sue ford, but it'll take sooooo much time....
but atleast it didn't hit anyone, THANK GOD!!

There was a recall on those a long time ago. Like 94-95's maybe? The epoxy didn't hold well, and they came apart like that. Just by looking at it, yours never got fixed. When they fixed them, they cut two holes in the hood and filled it with a different epoxy. Call the dealer and ask WTF? Unless the car has been wrecked, and thats an afternarket hood that someone put on...Then you're S.O.L.
