how much would insurance roughly be for a 16 year old driving 1995 Mustang GT?

around $250 a month so that would be $3000 a year im feeling the pain of insurance on my gt i have full cov. and im paying 245 a month

 

if you are a boy, 16, single, and still in school I got you quoted for a 95 GT coup @ 495/mo for full coverage. If you are paying for it in full then the cost may drop about 100. Id say unless you can afford about 400/mo then go with a 6 they are way better with insurance espically at your age.

Basically they get your rates based on your age, sex, driving history or lack there of, how long you've had insurance or if you've had breaks in coverage, your location(seems like the higher population of the county the higher the rate)

I asked my insurance agent about what would be the best vehicle pricewise for a teenage boy (I've got two) and she said a pick-up that's at least 10 years old would be the cheapest vehicle to insure. We're restoring a '69 Chevy C/10 for the oldest boy right now.

 

Put it on your parent's insurance and register it in your parents name and have them list you as the driver of one of their cars if its older and not a v8.

I was on my parents insurance until I turned 21. My brother is 19 and he has an '05 Ram 2500 and its registered and insured in my dad's name and my brother is listed as the primary driver of my dads '97 Olds. It saves a ton of money that way.

 

ive seen rates all over the place for different people of different age/same age, location, etc for the SAME EXACT car.

it all depends on (like someone already said a few before):

insurance company
age
location
gender
car color
driving record
coverage plan
parents plan or your own plan

there's a lot of factors and it doesnt end there.

you can also get discounts depending on your insurance company:

safe driver
good student
multiple insurance plans (if youre parents do life insurance and other insurance through the same company, a lot of times they give you a discount right off the bat.
sometimes you can even get a discount right away if youre parents have clean or close to clean records.

 

when i was 16, my insurance was $360 a month for a 94 gt vert. that was with full coverage. but it was also on my parents plan with a milti-car discount. but yours would prob be about the same.
