What ford engine do you think i should get for a 1965 ford mustang. I am racing it strictly at drag strips and not on-road, so i need as much poer as possible. tHanxs for ur opinions!

Mmmm... cut the fenders out and run a 460 big block / C4 if you can find one with a big block bellhousing... or just go with a 351w / C4 combo if you wanna be cheap and easy.

 

DONT WANT TO CUT THE FENDERS OR ANYTHING JUST WANT THE BIGGEST HP V-8 ENGINE THAT I CAN DROP IN WITH NO MODIFICATIONS LIKE CUTTING FENDERS.....THANXS(DONT CARE ABOUT CHEAPNESS)

 

351 cleveland would lokely be the highest producing "common" engine you could put in there - very costly though compared to the 351w. Now a351w stroker with good heads would be a badass engine, look up NOS/MAN if your looking to go that route - he's our resident 351w expert.

 

Ya a nicley built 351 would be awsome. Just remember to build the car to, not just the engine.
