Dry Nitrous Shots
I am going to be installing Dry Nitrous kits into my mustang and I need to know some things:
-Where can I get nitrous shots and how much do each cost (50, 100, or 150)?
-Can I install nitrous shots safely and easily by myself after the nitrous kit is installed?
-What is the most preferred amount of nitrous shot: 50, 100, or 150?
All help is greatly appreciated.

Most nitrous kits come with the jets for various power levels, 75/100/125/etc. If they aren't included in the kit, you can buy the jets for the size you need at most speed shops or online stores like Summit Racing or Jeggs (around $10 for a pack of jets). While you're installing the dry nitrous kit, you just pick which power level you want to use and pop in that jet. You can swap the jets easily after the kit is installed too. A 100-125 hp dry kit is usually pretty safe. Going much higher than that, most people go with a wet kit for better control of the air/fuel ratio.
I would agree with androz. If you're going to do a dry shot, definetly go with the lower setting (50? 75?). The higher the shot of hp, the more likely the possibility of detontation. I didn't catch what year you're putting this on, but it shouldn't be too hard to bleed fuel off of the schrader valve or some place, to make it a wet system. Wet means higher safer hp gains. (150, 200, 500???). Sky is the limit!
P.S. Musclekid? You run the risk of "tearing" a muscle with a dry kit, if you catch my drift...

I would really really recommend going with a wet system unless you dont mind blowing up your engine.

The only way he would blow his engine up is if he went stupid with the power level or install went incorrectly.

Spraying more than 150 through a nozzle, wet or dry isnt recommended. Especially on 5.0s, you have what they call "puddling", where the nitrous/fuel mixture accumulates in your upper intake and could actully blow the intake apart. Also, there are other things to consider when using a nitrous kit, like timing, spark plug heat range, etc. Nitrous doesnt blow up motors, stupid people blow up motors.

At the same time, with the wet kit, you run the risk of blowing up your plastic intake manifold... much more so than with a dry shot.

i'm not quite sure what you're getting at, redmustang----. There are kits that run 250-500 horses for the pro's. Admittedly, the guy who's been asking about doing nos isn't a pro. I would agree though, anything more than 150 isn't the best idea when you're starting out. Start out small at 50 or 75hp and once you know how your engine reacts to it, then go for more, in small small increments. I mean, if you've got a 5.0 in your car already, plus another 100hp shot, you're good to go.
