Default Which is faster?

Well im sorta in the market to upgrade the cobra and ive come across 2 trans ams..trying to decide between the two

First, 2001 Trans Am WS6, BONE stock, black, T-tops, 6spd, leather, 70k miles for $17,000

or

1996 Trans am WS6, Silver, Ram Air, 6spd, Short shifter, Full SLP exhaust, Vortech S-trim supercharger, 36k original miles for $13,900

So, which is faster? Which would you prefer? My only worrie is that the 96 is worth around 9 on KB so if I resale it in a year I dont wanan take a 4g loss...help me out!

I think that the 1996 would be faster because it's supercharged, but it does have the LT1.

I personally would go with the 2001 because it has the LS1 with alot of potential for you to do what you wish with it.

Either way it's a good choice and goodluck!

steep price for the 70k ws6 70k is alot of miles and 17000 is a rip, for that you can but a 1200 hp crate motor unsupercharged than throw a s/c on it and have a bad *** car

'96 is prolly faster but looks like total ***, I'd do go with the '01, but it seems a little pricey. Or you could put a few thousand into your Cobra and spank both of them.

The 96 would be faster because of the supercharger. Stock the 96 has 275 hp and the 01 has 315 i believe. thats not a big difference but when you throw on the supercharger on the 96, youre probably around 400 rwhp

Price on both seems to be a little on the high side. I would look elsewhere and see if you can find one for a better price.

I would go with the 01 if you're really set on one of these. Looks WAY better, and the LS1engines are awesome. You could just do some bolt on's with the 01 and be able to hang with the 96 even with its supercharger.

neither.. you'd spend 17K on a car with as many miles as you ahve on yours, adn youre already complaining about mileage on your car...

logic says pass on the 01, and why would you buy a car that is already s/ced? then you cant have fun with it saying you did it and built it up...

keep looking for a lower mileage one, adn for 18K, your approaching 20-30K mach 1's
