ok. i get paid fri. and since i only have to pay $66 for my court fees from my trespassing ticket, i was going to order March pulleys and a Pro 5.0 shifter. now, the question. on March's website, it says gains of around 12hp. but, my friend said "a whopping 3hp". which is it ?? and should i even worry about pulleys at all, and just get the shifter and get gears next paycheck. or should i go ahead and get pulleys ??? thanks

 

yah ur friend sounds about rite. pullies are more for looks then they are performance but hey every bit of horsepower counts and all the little things u do will add up. if i were u i wood get the shifter and the pullies cause ud end up getting them n e ways and if u get the gears ur gonna have to spend another $400 getting em out it so juss save up for the instalation money then get them

 

see, one of my friends owns a performance shop here and he said if i wanted geard, id of course have to pay for the gears($189 from Ford Racing and then the cost of the other gears i need), but, he said hed install them for cheap if i help since im goin to school to become a mechanic, so, this way, i can do a little bit more than what i can now. but, im gettin better and better. helping my friend out a lot more, helping him out and so on. i wouldve ordered a shifter yesterday, but, had to pay court fees and forgot about a bill i had. so, that ruined that. so, within the next month, im DEFINITELY gettin a shifter. then, gears. but, thanks for the honesty

 

Them thar pulleys should free up like 15HP
You WILL feel a difference once you put them on

 

yeah, but youre built more than what i am too Ob. im still STOCK. well, close enough. nothing major done. i mean, yeah, with a modded motor im sure you could tell a diff, but, with a stock motor MAYBE pushin 235-240hp.............???

 

yah i put a set of bbk pullies on my car when it was stock except for a mac intake and some noew plugs and wires and i didnt feel a big difference at all.
