Another pic..... look for the triangular piece of tape pointing down to the connector .

My guess about the chipped head is that they did it trying ti get the mannifold off.

Does it affect how the head seals in any way?

no it doesent effect it in anyway, and i think my tranyy is going out or something man problem after problem, but the pics are real helpful thankyou for you help and time the motor runs fine now but i dont know i think somethings wrong with my tranny or maybe its the motor, heres what happens, sometimes not often, it feels like it looses acceleration the grabs and this happens rapidly and and it kinda torky when it grabs back on and lets off, 2 days ago i hit the gas and i hear a loud clump clump right in my tranny area and i looked in the mirror and i think i seen to pieces of metal flyin down the road, and thats pretty mch it, i will get some better details of the prob, thankyou for all your help,

and they charged me $822, and i looked further into it and they didnt even bolt down the back brackets, im takin it back and im alos making them retune it with a tuner, anything else i should do?

Sometimes hesitation will feel like the transmission is causing the problem but it is hard for me to tell jusy from reading. Some of the larger transmission places will road test your car for free.

I don't get the part about the tuner ( ? )

Did you have a custom tune done for this car ?

If these buggers can't even put on a darn intake manifold how are they going to know how to tune anything ? [&o]

I forgot to ask...What was the outcome of the fouled plugs ?

Were the plugs black with sooth or black and shiny with oil ?

Striped ? U mean they just keep on turning and don't tighten up ?

If you remove plugs from a hot aluminum head U can damage the thread []

What does your oil look like ? Any globs of anti freeze in it. How about your anti freeze ?

wow! your real helpful thanks a lot, um the when i pulled the plugs there was light colored oil and the plugs just looked a little worn and no i never had it tuned i just thought that it might need to be retuned becuase the change of the intake manifold, and no, no globs of antifeeze in on the plugs, and the antifreeze looks like light green and its kinda thick (milky) thanks

why would it have to be retuned with a stock replacement intake manifold, when somethings wrong with a car people always go to the computer and say its that, but MOST of the time its not, if the computer didnt get touched at the shop, i wouldnt see why you would have to retune it
