i kno theres a big diff in your 4.6 and my pushrod 5.0, but, i bought a BBK and i could tell a HUGE diff. and thats with a stock throttle body, and maf. most of the people on here like densecharger for the 4.6's, but, i like BBK. they both probably equal the same hp. might wanna look at March's ram-air system too. havent heard much about them, but, they say 15-20hp.

you could get a CAI for probably around 200-300 bucks.... or you could save your money and order the GT hi-flow system for $579 from rpmoutlet.com (you would be getting an accufab 75mm t/b and a 75mm intake plenum AND a mac 85mm straight shot intake) that would be a way better investment. this would replace your MAF which is the main restriction on air intake and give you the bigger t/b and plenum which you will really benefit from they say around 35rwhp(thats a lot more significant that 5-10 from a CAI) and every mod that you ever get will be amplified b/c of the already increased air flow. dont get a cai! i am pretty sure that it will work on your cobra-you would have to check with them.
