I have a clunking noise in the drivers side rear of my 97 Cobra. When I start off it starts, and when I drive it, it stops. Getting worse over the past couple of days. Thoughts........

 

Check the UV joints.......

 

I have a 97 cobra and I too have cluncking in the rear. Everytime I take a sharp right at a very slow speed I hear a big clunck. Mine isnt getting worse though, it just happens when i do the above. Hope we figure this out. Later

 

geckorz, check your u-joints.... ride_maine, im no expert, but sounds like it could be your rear end...

Does it also do it when you let out the clutch in other gears under load (low rpms)?

 

Have it narrowed down to the rear bushing. 40-50 $ part. Thanks for everyone’s help!!!!!
