Default Best Differential ???

ok so im about to get 3.73's done and my traction lok id garbage.... im in between getting a rebuild kit for it, or finding a descent used locking unit...

im looking right now at eaton, auburn, and powertrax.

give me some feeback on these and any others that are out there that arent going to cost me a fortune!! or should i just stick with a rebuilt trac-lok??? keep in mind my car should be pushing 320 rwhp thanks fellas

Default RE: Best Differential ???

I have a Trac-Tech,formerly Detroit,Tru-Trac on my 04 GT.It completly did away with slipping clutches and the dreaded "one wheel peel".They cost around $400 and with new bearings and a shim kit the price came to $485.00.The new three pinion (six bolt) design is pretty bullet proof but the old two pinion (four bolt) was pretty much junk.

This link explains some of the differences and advantages.
One thing though, the one in my car makes a knocking noise when the car is coasting with the differential unloaded. It's not very loud and the stereo turned to even low levels will drown it out.
