Default Moser rear end kit

Ok guys im looking at this moser kit, it comes with 33 spline axles with long studs, spool, and c-clip eliminators. all for $600. But im not to familiar with what c-clip elims are or what a spool is. Anyone care to shed some insight[sm=smiley4.gif]

I don't know what any of that would be for.

Why would you want more splines on your axle?

If you're going to be changing all that why not just go 9"?
or is that something different?

the c clip elims mean that teh axles are held on by the outer bearing retainers instead of teh c clips inside teh diff..

dont need to. the 8.8 will take all of the beating i could ever want to give it. and not to mention, a bolt in 9" from strange or moser, with all upgraded internals, starts at $2200.

spool is like a live axle go kart ,,you know when you pick up the front for it to turn it around,,the rear tires want to br hard to turn ,,because of no clutches in spool it solid,,no spider gears just has ring gear bolted to it,,them axles go throw it....you got to have no c-clips because theres no cross pin in spool...you got to cut the ends off your stock housing where the stock bearing go..the elim kit take up the difference.....i got a spool in my 69 chevelle just try to push it in a slight turn the tires scrub so hard that they make black marks,,one tire is trying to turn the other way ,,i got 35 splines on it ...spool puts extra stress on axles..

YES IF GOING TO BE DRIVING EVERY DAY WOULD BE BETTER THAN A SPOOL,,IN MY 83 GT I GOT 31 SPLINES WITH CLIPS...IF I GO 9S WILL NEED NO CLIPS AND SPOOL..YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF BUYING ALL MY INTERANALS,,,ONLY GOT 200 MILES ON IT ,,ONLY 10 DRAG STRIP PASSES ONLY,,,,THAT WAY I CAN GET SPOOL AND NO C CLIPS ,,,GOT 3.73S ALSO ON IT ,,MOSER AXLES,,FORD TRACTION LOCK,,PM ME LET ME KNOW
