if you suspect that there is a possibility there is a leaky head gasket, and want to check for coolant in the oil, but the person lacks a dipstick for the time being, is there any other way to check?

yeah, but trying to avoid that too. Not that its a big deal, just don't want to if don't have to.

Get some fishtank air tubing thread it down the
stick tube to the Bottom of the crankcase
and suck.

take the dipstick from your car an stick it in the hole... your not trying to measure oil level after all...

Yea those dipsticks can be really expensive to replace..
How about just peeking around inside the oil filler plug & see if anything looks fishy?

Sometimes you can take the filler cap off and look for white slime inside it.
