Default Headlight issues

Whatz up all? I'm new to this forum and I need some serious help. My headlights are having some serious issues. When ever I pull the headlight **** to the first point my parking lights do not come on and when I pull it all the way out just my headlights come on. If I put the **** in a position between the first point and all the way out I can get both headlights and parking lights to come on. I've replaced the switch assembly and hve checked all of my fuses and it still has the same problems. The only thing I haven't replaced is the actual metal shaft in the ****. I don't think a piece of metal would cause this problem. Can someone please help me with this difficult probelm? I have 1998 3.8 Mustang. Thanks in advance!!

Default RE: Headlight issues

Could be a problem futher out in the circuit.Check for loose or corroded wires around the lights themselves.Especially grounds.
