I have a 2002 GT and the front bumper below the headlights area is cracked up real bad. I have to get the whole front bumper cover replaced, meaning the paint and the install as well. I got an estimate on it today and it was $1160. The parts (bumper itself) was about 460. The paint was about 150. The labor was about 500 and then taxes was the rest of it. There were about 8 hrs of total labor on the estimate with some of those hours being at $102/hr and the others at 70 or so. Is this as much of a rip as I think it is or am I just a naive 18 year old that doesn't understand the cost of body work.

Has anyone else gotten their front bumper replaced and what did you pay? What should i be paying for a job like this. Any input would be appreciated.

 

I think thats a LOT for paint job and labor!! Where do u live?? if u live in socal I can get u a goood place.

You can buy touch up paint and
spray it yourself, the plastic
paints easilly and smooth.

Well idk how is it over there. but here I know for sure because I got a full paint job on my car for 1000 bucks!! (the whole car) I am getting my front bumper painted again for 200 bucks!!
