Default What shifters are u guys using?

I put a pro 5.0 shifter in my 95 GT last week and now, im getting alot of vibrations and noise from the shifter. i pulled the boot off and drove it to see if i could see anything but it looked fine, it has a 30 day return on it so i was wondering what type of shifters u guys have, and how you like them. Any Pro 5.0 owners out there that have noticed this problem? I mean i love this shifter its night and day compaired to the stock crap.

I got me a Pro 5.0 shifter and love it in my 95 GT. I'd say check the U joints and such but otherwise I've driven with the Steeda Tri Ax in my buddies car and don't like it as much, just different shift angles and stuff.

The vibration is occuring because the stock shifter had a rubber boot in between the upper and lower arm of the shifter itself.

Now it's just a metal to metal contact, so it Will make noises.
Tho mine doesnt unless you put your ear to the thing, I hear its very common because of it.

And I'll be the first to stick up for the Tri-Ax
Yes it has that spring from 2nd to third you just have to push up and slides right in.

Tri-Ax is de Best!
