Default Keyless entry problem

Hallo,

I've been having issues w/ the keyless entry on my 94 GT. about a month ago, the remote decided to stop working... I spent a good 5min trying to get the buttons to work, but got nothing. i figured that the car wouldn't start cause of the anti-theft feature tied to the remote. Much to my suprise, the car unlocked and started just fine using the key itself. the key worked for 3 weeks or so until one day it set off the alarm and the car wouldn't start. i tried the remote, and it worked! the thing worked for all of a day before it quit again, leaving me to use the key without any problems starting the car. I'm a big fan of the remote and would like it to work consistently. any ideas what's going on here?? it sounds to me like some wire on the anti-theft control module is lose, but i don't even know where it is to check it. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try putting a fresh battery in the remote? Worth a shot

the batteries in the remote are no more than a month old. I would be really suprised if the problem was actually the remote. you are right though... worth a shot.
