The top of the line unit can store settings for multiple vehicles. You'll need to calibrate it each time it moves, though, even if it has the car specs installed. You should really make sure the calibration is current during each use even if it stays in the car. The accelerometers are very sensitive and a slight error can make the times slower/quicker than they really are.

I read a riview on them once.

There are other brands out there but I don't remember the name. Matter of fact, another one sounded like it had more features.
Google it under performance computers if U R interested.

What I recall on them is that they do not repeat exactly each time. This is not to say that they are bad but it seems to be in the nature of the measurement set up.

So if you want to use it to measure something like how much HP you gained by going to a new plug etc - forget it [&o] It will probably not be sensitive enough for that.

On the other hand if you do a few runs before and after the mod you may see the average ET, HP or whatever change slightly ...

Again, I do not own of of the things so I'm just going based on what I read.

keep us posted

I hear that things like different spring/shock setups really throw those off. I was thinking about getting one but they are like 400.00 in canada.
