So guys, I need some help, I havent been on here for a while and now I need some help again....Lets see, so with the mods I have I went 12.8 @ 106 on the 1/4 mile. I was pretty impressed but I fell asleep at the light everytime. I think it can go 12.75 or lower but Im happy with the results. Now I want to come up with a mod list for a new setup for the spring. It can be anywhere from suspension to motor. I want to also turbo the car. I was looking at this really cool setup online that isnt that bad in price, its a twin turbo setup. What do you guys think? Can anyone point me in the right direction and tell where and how much can i get the best turbo set up for my stang. Also I would like someone to post a mod list for me? I want my car fast but not insanely fast. Something high 10 low elevens. I can even settle for mid elevens. Well guys thanks for the help and please post what you think can helpout!

You ran a 12.8 with basically just a 100-shot of nitrous for power adders and street tires with no suspension?

 

If that's the case, and all you want to do is get slightly better times then get some good radials and get some upper and lower control arms. Not sure if you did it or not, but you can bump your timing a few degrees to gain a few HP. Just be sure not to go too far due to the N2O.

Another fairly inexpensive upgrade would be the heads. After that might as well upgrade the intake manifold and the cam...not really gonna get huge gains with a 75mm TB if the intake, heads, and headers are bottlenecking you up.

 

yea no other power adders just the nitrous and simple stuff, I would like to take the nitrous out and do a power adder like a turbo but some people say do a supercharger...not sure what you think?

 

Why take the nitrous out? I'm running a 100 shot as well, and I have a Procharger P-1SC-2 Supercharger with 10 PSI of boost. With my current setup, I'm pushing approx. 430ish HP on the juice, 320ish without it (RWHP.) I am going to add a new set of heads, upper and lower intake, and a cam over the winter and when I do that, I'll reduce the jets to 24 nitrous / 14 fuel to drop it to about a 25-shot.

You can always go with a turbo, but they tend to cost a bit more and can be more of a pain in the *** to setup. Personally, I love the low end power of a S/C. Either way though, you definately wanna work on the suspension or you'll just end up spinning the tires all day

 

Wow...alot of info, thanks for the advice...I might just end up procharging it...the car is completely stock 100 shot wont mess it up will it?.....I mean I spray it alot and so far so good I just dont know how long it will hold up.....ALSO heres a mod list what do you think? Mac Long tube headers, Upper Plenum, Manifold upper and lower, cams and full suspension......no internal work or Torque converter....what do you think? anything else to add?......

 

Get yourself a nice set of heads to go with your TB, cam, and intake manifold. You should see decent gains over the stock E7s. Even if you have to go to a junkyard and rip some GT40 heads off of an old Ford Explorer, it's better than stock. Judging by your sig, you already have gears and a shift kit so you're looking good there. And if you have full suspension, then you should be gripping fairly well.

A 100 shot should be safe for you, as long as it's setup properly.

But if you're looking for nice gains, a supercharger will do the trick. But even if you do get a S/C, I would still swap out your heads. Those things looks like your bottleneck right now. (if you have better TB, intake, headers, cam.)

 

Okay, Okay so lets see here, for the mod list: Mac Long tube headers, Cams, Manifold U & L, Tokico adjustable shocks and struts, Eibach Drag Springs......anything else to add?

Yeah, you keep forgetting the heads. The heads and headers are two different things

 

oh yea my bad, heads okay got it down...how much do you think for this setup? and what do you think I will run with all this done
