Default Tri-Ax question...

Ok, at the risk of this sounding like a total noob question here it goes. I just installed my steede tri-ax shifter. It makes a rather loud clicking noise when switching gears. I just want to know if this is normal, or if it is something I should be concerned about. I'm assuming that it is normal with the new shifter, but I just don't want to take any chances at messing up my trans.

Thanks

right hither

yea the triax has stop bolts, make sure their set properly. the tranny has internal stops as well so its better to have them too loose than too tight

I set the stop bolts exactly as the directions said, with just a slight air gap between the lever and the bolt when pressure is applied to the lever.

I have the Pro 5.0 and I can hear mine hitting the adjustment screws also. I kinda like the sound myself.
