Default Rear Quarter Panels

I have a 2001 v6 Mustang

So basically, my right passenger side rear quarter panel needs to be replaced. I keep finding front quarter panels, but I need the rear. I realize its a big job, ill have it done at a shop. Where can I find the quarter panel to buy?!?!

btw, im refering to the rear wheel quarter panel.

check 50resto they have em...im needing one too on my driver side...there a whopping 550 bucks a pop though...other than that you could try www.racecraft.com for a 3lb carbon fiber 34" drag tire quater panel[sm=smiley20.gif] im trying to decide myself...or get one from someone

Any idea how much that carbon fiber one goes for? And if I were to get the CB one and paint it the right color, would it be noticable?

well from what i understand, carbon fiber can cause ripples from the weave it has (twill or plain...check https://mustangforums.com/m_2109566/mpage_2/tm.htm for quick run down on basic carbon fibers) but a gel coat can cure that PLUS carbon fiber needs a good coat of paint because the gel coat used usually yellows out after a lot of sun exposure, paint would make it unrecognizable til you tapped on it...i wouldnt recomend them though, because the panels wont accept a side impact very well (carbon fibers stiff, but not very strong against forces perpendicular to it, it fractures real bad), and without some sort of cage, you may be putting yourself at risk, plus your wheel wells and rear seat brace wont mount up where those are without rivets or an epoxy

Yea, I guess ill be going for the OEM part. I wish there was any other choice besides 50 resto. Are they really the only place on the internet to have em?

Your local Ford dealer will have any panel you want. I bought all new sheet metal for mine at the dealer.
