RE: Click noise from my engine...

On second thought, try swapping one out of your mustang or other Ford, if you have one. They could be the same.

some questions tho.... where exactly is the solinoid switch? and is there anyway i can repair this without getting a new switch all together?

could it be normal tho? is the clutch suppose to be spinning all the time? i find that when i do put the air coniditioner on full blast thats when the clutch engages..however when i shut it down it stops...

The clutch is designed to engage/disengage with a click just like you're explaining. If you turn off the AC, and set the heater to something other than a defrost setting, it will stop (the AC will run with the defrost settings to help with humidity control). On defrost, the AC will cycle in intervals more often than it will while set on AC.

If you set the controls to AC, and the clutch engages/disengages quickly, you are likely low on refrigerant and need to find the leak and recharge the system.

You gonna have to get Haynes manual for that, autozone or discount auto parts. If the switch from your mustang is the same, you can swap and see what happens.

Usually when clutch is engaging it is either quet or it is a single muffeled click, like from inside a can. Engine load should also change and you can hear the difference.
