Default parts

Ok first off i would like to say my F-ing brakes suck. I was in traffic this morning and people in front of me slammed their breaks and when i hit mine it was like trying to stop in loose gravel and i slide into the back of the person in front of me.

Didnt to that much damage but i am going to have to replace my front bumper cover and hood. I live in Georgia, where would be the best/cheapest place to get replacements for a 2004 cobra?

Late model Cobras have some of the best brakes every installed on an American car. It sounds to me like you were simply following too close and the ABS kicked in, giving you the "marbles" feeling.

The only real major improvements you could make are going to involve a big check written to someone like Baer or SSBC.

no thats the thing i really was not following that close......i have been driving for 12 years and never even had so much as a scratch on my car. I was in holiday BS traffic at 5 am......i was going into the turn lane, i was slowing down but the light was green and everyone was starting to move then some stupid "THUG" decided he didnt want to wait in line behind traffic so he zoomed past the traffic and cut his way in at the last second causing everyone to slam on breaks and it was like slow motion sliding into the car in front of me. once the "anti" started it was like i was trying to stop on ice. SO FOR YOUR INFO I WAS NOT FOLLOWING TO CLOSE

Not having used a car with ABS. I think you may have
found a reason to have ABS only work on snow/ice
conditions.
I have always just stood on the brakes in panic summer
conditions. The confidence of a full set of locked brakes
gripping the road always got me through it.

Once you have GM or FORD doing your driving for you,
you become a rider not a driver.

ABS doesn't help unless you're on dry or wet pavement, unfortunately. If you drive on gravel roads often, I'd consider disabling the ABS either temporarily through a switch in the cockpit or by just unplugging it.

You'll also experience this complete loss of brakes if you hit a ridge in the pavement that is large enough to send a tire air born when the brakes are applied.

ABS - The safety feature that causes more damage than it prevents.
