Default Dyno Done!

Hey guys,

As I said, I was having my 2.8 pulley installed with an SCT dyno tune. I am going to post these two charts, but don't know when as the site says that the upload feature is currently disabled. I can e-mail if anyone wants to see sooner.

The first pull yielded 459.7 RWHP and 481.1 RWTQ. Don said that it was a very conservative tune with 18 degrees of timing. It is used for a safe first pull.

He then added in some timing and fuel, and made 470.7 RWHP and 499.7 RWTQ on the second pull. The A/F was not logging on the PC, but he showed me the wideband at a high of 12.0/1 which proceeded to drop like it was supposed to. He said that we could possibly squeeze a tad bit more out, but that he was extremely pleased with this tune. He said these cars generally pull in the 440-460 range.

Needless to say, I am very happy. Each gear now pulls like the one before it. 2nd is like 1st, 3rd is like 2nd, etc. It's amazing.

Oh, I forgot.

When they pulled my plugs, he showed where I had been running slightly lean. I guess the K&N FIPK and Catback were the culprit as he said that these cars are tuned pig rich from the factory.

I think that I am going to do just that. The only track we have near me are 1/8 mile.

I am sure that I will have some crappy times as I have never run at the strip. But I have to start somewhere.

Does anybody know if the ability to attach a file is down, or do I just not have permission anymore? I wanted to post the dyno sheets.

I will try again tomorrow when I go back to work as I had the tuner e-mail my work the charts.

Sorry about the size.

The tuner said that if anyone had questions about the small dip that occurs, it is because of the sampling rate of the dyno. You can see the dip occuring at the same places along the HP & TQ curve.

I will try to post the graph of the first pull later. While on the dyno, the car broke the tires loose when he nailed it.
