Im installing offset rack bushings on my 99. The offset (hole) is supposed to be closer to the top or the bottom? Thanks.

Hope this helps... The description says that they are supposed to raise the steering rack so therefore the hole should be near the top. However, mustangworld says to place the hole at the bottom...

you want your rack to be pushed up to its highest spot which would make the off set holes fit
in the bottom, the rack installs closer to the oil pan now

Yea it makes sense now. For some reason I couldnt visualize it before...

BTW - does any1 know how to take off the power steering lines from the steering gear?? Do I need a special socket or something? My tools cant reach the lower bolts... Do the upper square ones turn...?
