Default Before installing new headlights

I have to buy a new set of aftermarket headlights since my stock ones have become so foggy/yellowish that they not only look ugly, but it's also decreasing the amount of light that shines through by a lot. Before installing the new ones, should I put anything around the edges to prevent any water from getting into it or should they be fine as is?

The new ones should have better materials that won't turn yellow.....Just slap 'em in and enjoy the view.

I'm more worried about actual water and condensation getting in there because of the lens and housing not being sealed together very well, because I've seen a few people on the site complain about that.

Your new ones should be sealed. Just make sure your bulb socket seal is in good shape.

I used the garage door as a gauge. After the install, line them up on the door, and if you dont like the way they shine on the road, you can adjust them up or down depending on what you need. But any flat surface will allow you to center them and get them on the same plane.

General rule of thumb is to park the car about 25 feet from a flat wall (car MUST be level)
Measure the height of the center of each headlamp. Adjust the headlights so that the light beam hits the wall with about a 2-4 inch drop over those 25 feet.
So if your headlight center points are 30 inches off the ground, the the beams should "splash" on the wall between 26 and 28 inches off the ground.
Aiming them so that they're "level" will blind oncoming drivers.

Got mine today. I think I remember seeing a few people say to put liquid silicone around the edges to prevent any water form getting in. Should I try this to be safe or is it a waste and I should be fine as is?
