theres alot of stuff you have to do, with a budget you can make the 5.0 alot faster and better for the same budget of a 351w

I think youd be crazy to jerk that 302. Im sure you know that motor swaps are a lot more than a pluck and drop. You could make more power for cheaper if you just stick with the 302. IMO Punch it out to a 331, get some good forged internals, hook it up with some N20, dyno tune it, and your good to go.

Sorry for the double post but to answer your original question... 351's came in 80's model big broncos and F series trucks. I think there were some in the early 90's models too but i could be totaly wrong. Thats about all i can tell ya about what the 351s came in.

I think Ford started using the 351 roller engine in 1993. You can find them in Lightnings, Cobra R's, and I think the Saleen S351 Mustangs used a 351 roller engine.

My 302 is already out of the car. I'm wanting a 351W because the block is stronger & displaces more. The 351 is more reliable than a 302 stroked to a 347.

ORIGINAL: Isaac

the 331 got 40 more hp then the 347 with a MM & FF dyno test.....351w is too much extra work...you can get it under your stock hood but its hard....just do a 331 blown like the 331 ways to waste an ls1 that ran 9 seconds...

The 351 roller also came in the 90's f-250/350 heavy duty trucks.
So you can probably pick one up at the junk yard.
Why not buy a lightning short block?

dont worry, i got ur back on the swap. im doin it myself. they also came in some of the big comercial vans. i found one a while ago on ebay from one. are u planning on carb's or EFI?? if ur goin with the carb'd, i can easily see where ur goin with it. cheap and easy power all the way. EFI will be a bit more work and money. if u have any question, pm me
