Short Throw Shifter?
Just came back from the track and after missing 3rd gear on two runs I've decided to buy a new short throw shifter. I'm looking for opinions on who makes a good product. Thanks in advance.

RE: Short Throw Shifter?
Me and my friend just installed a B&M Short Throw shifter into his 89 LX, It wasnt that bad o install about 30-45 mins on install, What a differance on shifting from stock to B&M Short Throw, Its a good investment.

RE: Short Throw Shifter?
Im not going by what ive heard though, Ive used a Tri-Ax, Hurst, and Pro 5.0. The Tri-ax is good and its handle postioning is closer to stock than the shorter stick of the Pro and Hurst. My Hurst shifts just as well as any Pro 5.0 Ive played with. In high RPMs my Hurst feels like it pulls itself into gear. Hurst has been in the shifter business for a long long time, and they have more than proved theirselves IMO. No complaints here. If you dont want to try a Hurst or Pro 5.0, the best bet is Steeda Tri-Ax. Cant go wrong with Steeda.

Go with the pro 5.0[sm=icon_rock.gif]. Its like night and day to a stock shifter. The cheapest I found was from www.laurelmountainmustang.com
