Default Mach 460 Question

Hey everyone,....

Im sure you are all tired of hearing questions for the mach 460 sound system...but I beg of you, please read this.

I am a new mustang owner. Got an 04 Convertable about 5 months ago. I want to install a new (aftermarket) CD player intothecar so I will have an aux. input for my mp3 player. My questions are 1)If I get a CD player that outputs higher than line level (ex. 50watt x4)....will that cause my Mach speakers to blow once it hits the factory amps? Do I need to get an outputwattage reducer for each channel? 2) Will all the speakers still work (mains, tweeters, subs) once the new unit is installed. 3) Will I have the same (or better) sound quality once the new unit is installed (I like the way the Mach'slow end sounds) or has anyone felt that the newCD player will cause forless low endin thesound, andhave to buy a sub to fill sound equal to the mach original sound? I had an Explorer that I put a new CD player in. The sound was alot cleaner...but it lost alot of low end in the process.

Thanks

Rob

Ford uses a proprietary sound system that doesn't work well with aftermarket parts.
You will get a lot more help if you post questions like this in the Audio section of this forum.

Easier to just use an FM modulator to play your music through the existing sterio rather than butcher it up
