Wheres the fuel filter !

RE: Wheres the fuel filter !
Rear axle. Middle.
You'll need a special tool to remove the lines from the filter. And, make sure the system isn't pressurized (let it sit over night). BTW, a face full of fuel makes things smell funny for quite some time afterward.

You can get the special tool to disconnect the fuel lines at any auto parts store.
To depresurize the fuel system, locate the fuel pump fuse in the fuse box (your owners manual should say where it is) and start the car. If it starts, let it run for a little bit. It will die when its sucked all the gas out. If it doesn't start, just let it crank for a little while which will also suck any fuel out of the lines. Not that hard of a job. Good luck...

And in my old car there was a plug/ switch in the trunk under the carpet that I used, think thats where the cut off switch is here?

Jack the car up under the normal jack locations. You want to have the area around the axle clear for you to work, so don't jack it up via the axle. So under the frame rales should do fine. There is plenty of room under there to work with the axle out of the way.
As for the plug/switch, that is the innertia cut off switch. It kills the power to the fuel pump, but that will not depresurize the system the way you expect. Use the fuel pump fuse as I suggested before, otherwise you'll get pretty messy/smelly when you take the fuel filter off. Good luck...
