Default Questions about denscharger

I've got two questions about the denscharger.
1) Do you get water in the intake from the fender well?
2) How do you get the filter out to re-oil it?

no you don't get water in the intake....unless you go through a huge puddle, but you shouldn't be doing that anyway...

well no i don't plan on puttig a house in there, but i will be driving this everyday. I had a CAI under hood and never had problems with it. I'm just unsure about putting the filter outside.

The fenderwell area is practically enclosed aside from a few holes - so theirs absolutely no way to get water in there unless you drive into a puddle of water that goes up over the top of your tires, which either way before or after the CAI you will suck in water if you go that deep.

To really get the best effect from the densecharger though you will want to cut out the bottom of your inner fender (not the wheelwell) but directly below the filter at the bottom so it can easily suck in cold air. You won't have any problems unless you submerse the car in standing water.

Yep, there is nothing to worry about. for #2, all you hafta do is open the fender/wheel well and take the filter off. K&N sells a re-oiling kit. You clean the filter with clean water, then re-oil the filter.

I live in Texas and when it rains it pours. So every now and then I find myself having to drive through a flooded intersection. Mine dies get wet then and acts up just a little, but in normal driving such as in the rain, nothing happens.

The best way to get it out of the fender and really the only way is to take off the cover thats screwed into the fender inside the hood and unscrew the filter from the coupling. Then go under the front bumper and grab it and pull it down. Thats really the only way becaue it wont come out of the hole in the fender.
