check engine light
check engine light came on a day after i changed changed all 4 rotors and pads on my 97 mustang gt, i took out one of the bleeder screws and some brake fluid came out, could this have cause the engine light to come on?

When you change the pads you have to compress
the caliper to set back in the piston (you know that
because you did it).
This forces the fluid back to the MC. I imagine over
the years that you added fluid to make up for the expanding cilinders.
Opening the bleader should have little effect except to
possibly let air in causing spongy pedal.
You may have set a low fluid code?

Check engine lights are normallyemmission'srelated. Bring it to a local shop and have them pull the code.If the shop isnt too busy they might even pull it for free. I know we do alot of times.
Was it the actual check engine light or was it a different idiot light? If it is the check engine light and youve got 200$ burning a hole in your pocket, you can get alow end actron code reader for about that. If you know a snap on guy, he can get you one throught he RWD catalog.

yeah i wasnt completely sure what it was but the light turned off by itself the next day but i still need to bleed the system, feels a little spongier than when i first got it...but thanks for your guy's input
