Default I need a little Help

I just finished my emission tests, So I had to retard the timing back, I noticed now since I turned back the timing on my 83 stang carburated, I need a little help wit setting my electronic choke, I cant remember which direction it has to be turned, There is no markings where to set it too. ? anyone have any Idea.?

most of them have a spring in them that moves when it heats up, so just loosen the screws around the choke cover and turn it some clockwise and watch which way the choke blade moves and if it don't move the way you want it to, move it the other way until it does. used to be you set it with a cold choke so that a 1/8" drill bit would just fit between the choke blade and the housing when the choke was closed. try this and see how this does, and also why not set the timing back up like vfast already said.
