Default Holley carb help

I am looknig into a new carb for my 351c and thus far like the holley line of carbs. However, on their disclaimer they say that their carbs should not be used on fords with an automatic. My ranchero has a 351c and a C6 auto tranny so as you can figure, this kinda puts me in a bind.

What?? lol A Holley carb says not to use it in an automatic Ford??!? Which model Holley are you looking at? Is this documentation online so you can post a link to it?

Maybe there's another model that Holley prefers you use instead in an automatic application?

i used 2 holley 450cfm carbs on my chevy tunnel ram with auto trans and itwas perfect. mylast 65 mustang had a 600cfm with auto trans (no problems).
surely this is a mistake or missunderstanding.

You probably misunderstood. I am sure what it means is that you need different carblinkage for the auto.

You just need to buy linkage as JD said. Holley's work great with auto's, Ford just has a separate lever on the throttle arm that controls the kickdown.

That must be what I was reading and misunderstood. So I'll just have to get the seperatekickdown mechanism. Btw the warning was on the holley page for their 750 DP 4barrels. Thanks for the help, I'm new to the world of Ford.

I really hope your joking. If you have a stockish motor and don't want to make max hp Edelbrock is fine, but for real performance Holley/Demon is the way to go.
